Political bands in the 80s could be sarcastically funny, like Dead Kennedys, or hostile and obnoxious ala Crass, they could make statements like Band Aid or Peter Gabriel, the 80s was a time of making statements. It was like the 60s in that way only harder, edgier, more aggressive. In the 90s it would become more melodic and then it would disappear almost entirely.
This is the sound of protest by way of industrial music with melody and improvisation.
It’s not entirely dislikable but I’m not sure where it fits in today.
It’s not my bailiwick.
