Released: 1981 Viva What The Hell Is Going On Genre: Hard’n’Heavy Rating: 3 out of 5 Highlights: The Bitch German hardrockheavymetal. Thick sound. Loud plodding bass. Gallopping chukka-chukka guitars and screaming leads. Barbara Schenker on keyboards. Older brothers Michael (UFO) and Rudolph (Scorpions) are more famous, but their younger sister holds her own. The synths--buried pretty deep in the mix--slide this in an interesting "atmospheric metal" space. Maybe that's just the last vestiges of 70s hard rock hanging on? The drums on track 4 sound like basketballs on a court. As they shouted "Give it to me all night long" on track 6, I realized I was tired. No, please do not give it to him -- nor to me -- all night long.
