Released: December 1981 Bill Champlin Runaway Genre: Adult Contemporary -- With Horns! Rating: 2.6 out of 5 Highlights: (knowing that two tracks are missing) Along with David Foster, Bill Champlin breathed new life into the band Chicago, so it's no surprise this solo album from the start of his 80s Chicago tenure sounds remarkably like an 80s Chicago album. If your idea of fun is listening to a (hypothetical) cover of Natalie Cole's "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" by Peter Etecera, this is in the ballpark. That studio guitar work sure sounds like Steve Lukather, but I'm too uninterested to check.
