If Steve Winwood was a blues player I bet he would have made music like this record. No, it’s not “the blues” but it’s also not as warm as Steve.
Magically John Miles released 10 records you’ve never heard of. That’s a lot.
A lot of middle of the road rock. That said, Miles rocks harder than most of his peers in this MOR style and I wish I had heard of him sooner. This is definitely rock for older people in 1982. But, if they were listening to rock music they were probably buying reissues of their favorite bands already.
Shame. It’s not bad.
