I had never heard of the Suburbans and having looked them up, I know very little more about them. Judging from the album cover, they were a trio- consisting of Jamie Rosenthal, who may or may not be dead, Tom Steinmann and maybe Dave Jones, but not the one in Agnostic Front or the Monkees. No one is quite sure where they were from, although they seem pretty east coast-y to me. Loved these guys. Their songs are great. If I had heard them in 1980, I would have been all over them. This was the band’s first and only album and it listens accordingly. The album cover is spot on. Would I go their reunion tour? Probably not, there are better, more developed, versions of what I think this band was trying to accomplish or say but for 1980, they would have been a wonderful find.
