EmpTV

Today is Live Earth. 400,000 bands in 927 countries playing their hearts out to save the Earth.

8 hours of coverage on Bravo.
8 hours of coverage on Sundance.
7 hours of coverage on CNBC.
3 hours of coverage on NBC.

Nothing on MTV, MTV2, VH1, or VH1 classics. At least not according to my Tivo.

So, just what does the "M" stand for anyways?

For none of those channels to have carried any coverage of Live Earth is astonishing!

When I play a song from the 80s on my show that had a clip in heavy rotation on MTV, I will sometimes say something along the lines of "back in the days when they actually played music videos."
