Why does this remind me of Southside Johnny?
Oh, cuz Elliott is from that singer/storyteller world. He’s put out a ton of stuff over the years but Ive never heard of him. I’m sure this is a failing of mine.
His songs are all perfectly mediocre. Nothing inherently terrible. But, in the grand scheme of things, there’s a reason I’ve never heard of him.
He’s part Springsteen, part Lou Reed, part Dylan, part Violent Femmes but never as good as any of them.
